First International VENIA Young Masters Competition Vienna

VENIA is pleased to announce the first edition of the International VENIA Young Masters Competition Vienna. Through the language of music, VENIA wants to build bridges between young artists from different nations. We want to enable young talents to prove their art and to strengthen their stage presence.
Under the participants VENIA will choose talents for the Cycle Young Masters. Participants can be pianists of all nations, aged 10 to 19, born between 1.02.2001 and 1.02.2010.
PRELIMINARY ROUND will be done online via video. Program for all groups: 3 works of choice in different styles, Length: min. 10 minutes.
7-9.02.2020: Semifinal and final at Yamaha Hall Vienna
09.02.2020: Award ceremony and concert
10.02.2020: For all participants and their families - VENIA organizes a secret cultural trip and a dinner with the jury members
11.02.2020: CD-recording for the winner of Group 3 at Boesendorfer in Wiener Neustadt
AGE GROUPS:
Group 1: 10-13 years
Program: 2 works of choice in different styles
Group 2: 13-16 years
Program: 1 sonata form movement from Viennese classic period, 1 virtuoso piece, 1 piece of choice
Group 3: 16-19 years
Program: 1 sonata form movement from Viennese classic period, 1 virtuoso piece, 1 piece of choice, 1 contemporary obligatory piece

DEADLINES:
- Group 1 and 2 - 15 January 2020
- Group 3 - 30 November 2019. The winners receive the obligatory piece via mail.

- 1st prize - medal and diploma

All finalists receive a participation certificate.
Group 2:
- 1st prize - medal and diploma

- 1st prize - €500, a CD recording and CD presentation in Boesendorfer Salon in The Musikverein Vienna
- 2nd prize - €400

VENIA Audition Academy and Promotion:
- Concert promotion as part of the Cycle Young Masters in Austria and in cooperation with our international partners in Austria and abroad
- Prize for best performance of a contemporary work
- Every participant can request a free professional website
Audience Award for each age group
Orchestra of the Vienna Concert Association:
- Performance with the orchestra at one of his concerts.
The conditions for the concert appearances are determined by the organizers themselves and identified separately with the artists.
